Position Overview

Main focus is spraying (March through first part of August) and the rest of the year person will assist in all crop production operations. A person who has experience operating larger late model JD precision equipment. The majority of sprayed acres will be within a 45-mile radius, 22-30,000 acres. Person needs to be conscientious and very aware of surrounding during application. Need good experience with routine maintenance and general repair and a CDL is a must. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Communicate daily activities, needs, & accomplishments with manager
• Apply agronomy products to fields including dry and liquid fertilizer, and chemicals
• Assist in maintenance of facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds and moving snow
• Assist with outbound and inbound agronomy products
• Operate all equipment & vehicles according to local, state, and federal laws
• Ensure Safety compliance
• Maintain & record maintenance of application equipment, tending equipment, pickups and side dress units
• Record daily application logs
• Assist with measure and counting of inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, and chemicals
• Need to be a self-starter and able to work a flexible schedule during spray season

Qualifications

• 3-5 year experienced sprayer applicator
• Good math skills
• Able to read and follow chemical labels
• Good preventative maintenance and general repair skills
• Have CDL/Hazmat Preferred
• Good agronomic skills
• Experience operating large late model row crop precision equipment
• Private applicators license required, commercial applicators license preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
